These Terms govern your use of scootexpat.com and Scootexpat’s services. By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

Scootexpat provides relocation services, including property search, accommodation booking, relocation support, eSIM, company setup assistance, and insurance or banking referrals.

Scootexpat acts solely as a relocation, technology, platform, intermediary and support service provider. Except where expressly stated, Scootexpat is not a landlord, property owner, property manager, real estate broker, real estate agent, immigration consultant, legal advisor, tax advisor, insurer or financial institution.
Scootexpat does not own, manage, inspect or control third-party properties and cannot guarantee the conduct, performance, legality, safety, suitability or availability of any property, landlord, agency, educational institution or partner.
Scootexpat may provide services to schools, universities, educational institutions, businesses and other organisations on behalf of their students, interns, staff, contractors or guests. Such organisations remain responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions, consents and approvals from participants and for providing accurate information required for the performance of the services.
Photos taken by Scoot during this service may be used for marketing and communication purposes. Attendance implies consent.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our services.

By using our services, you represent and warrant that:

all information you provide is accurate, complete and up to date;
you possess all necessary travel, immigration, * identification and supporting documents;
you will comply with applicable laws and regulations;
you will not use the Platform for fraudulent, unlawful or misleading purposes;
you have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements.

3. Accounts

You agree to provide accurate information, keep your account secure, and be responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Listings & Third Parties

Listings are provided by third-party partners
We do not guarantee accuracy, availability, pricing, or conditions
Information, photos, and descriptions may be outdated or incorrect

Scootexpat acts only as an intermediary. Any agreement, booking, or transaction with a partner is solely between you and the partner, at your own risk. We are not responsible for partner services, properties, or outcomes.

Scootexpat does not guarantee that a user will:

secure accommodation;
obtain a lease or booking confirmation;
obtain a visa, permit or residency approval; be admitted to a school or university; obtain an internship or employment opportunity;
successfully register a business;
successfully open a bank account.

All such decisions remain solely at the discretion of the relevant third parties and authorities.

5. Payments

Payments may be processed by Scootexpat (via providers such as Wise or Stripe) or directly by partners
Payment terms and refund conditions are defined in each quote or invoice

We are not liable for payments, services, or disputes handled directly by partners.

6. Service Terms

Quotes are valid for a limited time
Services included are defined in each quote
Additional services may incur extra fees
Timelines are estimates and may vary

7. Cancellations & Refunds

Terms are defined in your quote or booking confirmation
Refunds depend on the stage of the service
Fees may apply

Scootexpat reserves the right to make the final decision on cancellations and refunds in line with agreed terms.

8. Partners

Partners must provide accurate information, respond in a timely manner, and comply with applicable laws.

9. Intellectual Property

All website/IP content belongs to Scootexpat and may not be used without permission.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

No liability for indirect or consequential damages
Liability is limited to the amount paid for the service
No responsibility for third-party partners, services, property conditions, or delays outside our control

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use means acceptance.
